As a part of this series, I had the pleasure of interviewing Angela Ficken. Angela Ficken, LICSW is a full-time psychotherapist in private practice based in Boston, Massachusetts. She specializes in OCD, eating disorders, and anxiety-related concerns. She started her career at McLean Hospital, which is one of the top-ranking psychiatric hospitals in the country and is affiliated with Harvard University. Serving as the head social worker on an inpatient unit, Angela worked with clients who suffered from anxiety and depression.

Kimberly spent 8 years at Horne Properties (Knoxville, TN) where she was Development Manager, 6 years at Ruby Tuesday corporate as Development Director (Maryville, TN), and 9 years at Jason’s deli corporate in Real Estate Development (Beaumont, TX). Kimberly started Kneier Commercial along with her software application, Secretary, in January 2020 and both are rapidly excelling. Kimberly lives in Asheville, NC where she loves being outside playing tennis, going to beaches, and hanging with her dog, family & friends.

Erica Marcano is the founder of The Notorious ATC, a holistic fitness brand serving clients looking to bridge the gap between past injury and true fitness. Erica is an Athletic Trainer, Strength Coach, Reiki Master, and Breathwork & Meditation facilitator, with 15+ years of experience with clients ranging from elite athletes to weekend warriors. She blends the latest evidence-based practices in athletic performance and sports medicine with the wisdom of ancient traditions to strengthen her clients’ bodies, minds, and souls. Erica believes that we are meant to be deeply connected to an internal, intuitive intelligence that helps us to heal and grow, and her work serves to reconnect her clients to that intelligence.
“How to achieve growth by saying no to the wrong clients” with Cimin Ahmadi-Cohen
Cimin Ahmadi-Cohen, like so many pioneering women, is challenging the norms of male-dominated, stagnant professional services. As the founder of her agency, Idea Peddler, she's dismantling how media and advertising are traditionally approached, banishing the negativity and toxic mindset that has plagued the industry. After working at major firms on Fortune 100 accounts, Ahmadi-Cohen continually challenges and pushes the boundaries of what is typically expected and executed. Her motto of doing “good work for nice people” extends not only to her clientele but also to her staff by nurturing and developing a healthy work culture. In doing so, she's managed to double her billing year over year since 2017, while also growing her staff and offerings despite the pandemic. Idea Peddler was pleased to see 167% growth in the first six months of 2021 compared to all of 2020 in addition to achieving their three-year goal in six months of year one.

As a stay-at-home mom, Evelyn Rountree had everything she ever wished for… and yet, she couldn’t help but feeling like something was missing from her life. She turned those emotions into action and started her own business, a website named "Love, mamãe". She wants to help and uplift other moms who, like herself, wants to navigate their feelings without judgment, and survive the toddler years with joy, grace, and sanity!
