Olga and Natasha Vernev are a married couple from Vancouver, Canada. They left Russia eight years ago due to the active persecution of LGBTQ + people and spent three years in Southeast Asia before Canada accepted them as refugees. They both arrived in Canada hardly knowing a couple of dozen words in English, with one suitcase and their Scottish Terrier named Spielberg, to start a life there from scratch. They settled in Vancouver in March 2017 and opened their company The Great Canadian Dog Cakes in 2020.
Building Community Through Storytelling for Women with Leslie Bailey
Leslie Bailey is a journalist and the co-founder and CEO of Indy Maven, a media company for women in Central Indiana. Indy Maven launched in 2019 with the mission of bringing high-quality content and community to the women of Indianapolis. In February of 2021, Leslie was listed in the first Forbes Next 1000 class. She is opening a co-working, social, and leisure space for women in downtown Indianapolis in the spring of 2022.

ZenLuxCo is a New York-based brand that promotes the message “Self-care Isn’t Selfish”, and sells a variety of personal care products and beauty products. Through the sales of her business, Ashley has also managed to help young women and girls who are less fortunate, to live out their full potential. Along with running her company, she also does content creation, blogs, and runs an IG TV Series called “Wellness Check-In & Self care Talk” through her brand.
